Where Can You Go Next To Make A Difference?

University of Dreams will be taking several volunteer trips to Guatemala this winter. UOD Foundation partners with Spanish School La Union to run all of its Guatemala trips.

Why Volunteer In Guatemala?

  • Help us build a classroom and improve a school site.
  • Transform the lives of hopeful children and their families.
  • Join approximately 12-15 other volunteer travelers.
  • See a beautiful part of the world.
  • Excursions to volcanoes and lakes near Antigua.
  • Engage in cultural activities such as tortilla making, Salsa dancing and Spanish-language exposure.
  • Visit and immerse yourself in an authentic Mayan village.

More Information

Volunteer Date: December 26 – January 3

Cost: $500 (does not include airfare)

The fee covers:

  • Housing
  • Meals (2-3 meals will be off site and paid for by the volunteer)
  • Excursions (Travel to Lake Atitlan)
  • Cultural Activities (witness a traditional Mayan wedding ceremony, learn to dance Salsa, etc.)
  • Volunteer work coordination
  • Transportation to and from work site
  • Airport pick-up and drop-off
  • Assigned group leader
  • 24-hour emergency contact
  • Wireless Internet access
  • Much more
  • With the exception of 2 to 3 meals, all costs are covered from the minute you arrive until the minute you return
